What "agent-optimized" means

An agent-optimized signal is not another API. It's a layer between raw data and autonomous decision-making.

Concretely: it's data that's been processed and structured specifically for an autonomous system to act on directly — not raw market or sensor data that still needs interpretation first. This is a general term. Each vertical gets its own modifier: an agent-optimized electricity signal, an agent-optimized weather signal, and so on. "Electricity signal" alone isn't the category name — it's one instance of it.

No agent-optimized implementation identified in what BotCentrum has reviewed so far. Sources like Open-Meteo and NOAA provide fast, keyless access to raw weather data (see real-time data sources) — but none we've checked package it as a decision-ready signal the way Elecz does for electricity.

Most of this taxonomy currently says "not yet reviewed." That's a statement about what BotCentrum has checked so far, not a claim that nothing else exists — we'd rather say what we haven't reviewed than invent an example to fill it.

Independent convergence

BotCentrum began exploring external signals for AI agents in March 2026. The concept was later formalized here as agent-optimized signals: a layer between raw data and autonomous decision-making.

Similar architectural patterns are now appearing independently in real systems. Signal Fabric, for example, describes "decision-grade signals" and "agent-ready inputs" that transform live data into structured information agents can reason over.

The terminology differs, but the architectural direction is similar: agents shouldn't always be expected to discover, normalize, and interpret raw real-world data themselves. A signal layer can do part of that work before the information reaches the reasoning system.

BotCentrum treats this convergence as evidence of an emerging architectural pattern, not a single product category.

Naming rule

The general term is agent-optimized signal. Vertical-specific instances get their own modifier — agent-optimized electricity signal, agent-optimized weather signal, and so on. "Electricity signal" alone is never the umbrella term on this site; it belongs to one implementation's own narrow positioning, not to this category-level framing. Future BotCentrum pages and contributors should follow this convention.

Why this page exists

BotCentrum's comparison pages evaluate named sources against each other. This page is different — it defines the category those sources get evaluated against, and tracks which verticals have been reviewed over time. As new agent-optimized signals are reviewed and verified, they'll be added here.
